11 months old yesterday!

Daddy took the camera to Molokai, so I wasn't able to take her monthly picture yesterday. This is Holly wearing her surf dress from California to bring Daddy good luck on race day.
Holly at 11 months - she has learned a lot of new things which I really noticed on our 2-week trip (maybe because she is reaching the one-year milestone?):
- leans, but doesn't crawl yet (as evidenced above)
- knows that she has to tip her sippy cup back to get the water - and holds it with one hand
- learned to use a straw AND a cup (holding it herself!) in Hawaii
- tries to mimic us when we talk (also started in Hawaii) - saying "guh" for good (when it comes to food!), "ba" for bath or ball, "nana" for banana, etc
- in the bath will "wash" her toys' faces
- holds her wrists together with her hands up when she wants Mommy to pick her up (like she's saying "please")
- has a sense of humour - she started "feeding" us food and then just as it nears our mouth, will pull it back say "ah hah" really loud and eat it herself - I have no idea how she figured that out!
- will give us a kiss if we ask nicely (and has started to say "aah" because we always say "aaaahh" when she gave us a kiss)
- started waving by using her arm instead of just her wrist (also in Hawaii)
- loves the water - she leaned towards the water every time we passed the pool at the hotels/condos we stayed at
